As you move through the back hall to the master chamber, notice right away the fine wood panel around the fire place, the yards and yards of imported textiles which decorate the bed, windows and upholstered chair and the beautifully carved furniture for storage and comfort, a far cry from the slaves chamber next door. Such was the life of slaves and masters in Connecticut in the 1700s.
